DIWALI DIY HACKS

Posted on

Diwali is right around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited! There’s just so much to look forward to at this time of the year and better yet, every place you go to is a spectacular vision due to the lights and decorations. So amidst all of the preparations and each one better than the other, how do you make your house/office stand out from the rest? DIY it in absolutely no time and hardly any money as we tell you how.

>> Candle holders out of old glass bottles

All you need is : an old glass bottle, some good lace to wrap around the bottle completely or in certain parts, glue, and a candle.

>> Lights out of bisleri bottles

All you need is : small bisleri bottles, fairy lights, thin rope, scissors and glue to cut the neck of the bottle and wrap the rope just on the lid of the bottle.

>> Mason jars/normal jars for table lights

All you need is : tinted mason/normal jars, fairy lights, and a table of course. Just wrap the fairy lights around the jars, or put the lights inside them. It’s your choice altogether and it’s THAT easy.

>> Candles in small glasses

All you need is : small clear glasses, small white/coloured thick candles. These can be in clusters or by themselves as well. P.S.: You could also wrap lace around the glass if you want.

>> Paint your diyas

All you need is : Acrylic paint, diyas, suitable brushes. This one’s for you if you’re bored of plain diyas and want to experiment with abstract or symmetrical designs to add colour and creativity to the festival.

We hope you have fun trying out our ideas while decorating for Diwali this year ‘round!
